Don and Lyndi   In the beginning...

I have been fascinated with snakes since I was a little kid. There were a lot of garter snakes in the small town I grew up in and I was always catching them. My parents were very nice. They let me keep one. My freshman year of high school I built a snake cage. I went out that spring and caught myself one. When the neighborhood kids found out I was allowed to have snakes the kids came by for weeks with garters for me. Mom decided that 3 was enough.

Over the years I have had many snakes, from kings to corns, boas and pythons, and even a few venomous. Along side of all these snakes was always a cage with several garters. I got interested in breeding after stumbling across Scott Felzer's website. With my loving wife's support (except when it comes to cleaning and feeding) I have been able to get started. I plan on increasing my breeding stock and variety of species over the years.
